Technology

Data is vital to discovery innovation and competitiveness. Enterprises that can harness the power of data—by making it easy to find, mine, manage and reuse—will be the first to gain insights that help the enterprise outperform competitors.

Peaxy® Aureum® helps enterprises keep up with the challenge of managing, storing, retrieving and curating exponentially growing data assets. It addresses some of the most difficult data challenges for engineering, research and development.

Aureum provides a large-scale data infrastructure that consolidates data on and off premises into data lakes supported by the unified Peaxy namespace.

The namespace spans storage types and uses patented technology to retain file pathnames—even across file migrations and technology refresh cycles—to ensure uninterrupted access to data assets. A sophisticated software-based architecture creates a distributed data space that is dynamically expandable. The software serves files, independent of the specific attributes of the underlying hardware, by clustering Virtual Machines (VMs) or Containers to host and manage data.

Aureum in the Field

Peaxy Data Visualization Suite

Unstructured data sets often haunt companies’ servers as “locked in” assets that can only be accessed, analyzed and understood by a few data scientists. Peaxy has built a suite of visualization tools to work seamlessly with the Aureum data access platform. It opens the door to visualizing previously dark data like CAD files, other geometries, telemetry and simulation.

Peaxy Geometry3D

3D models are often only used by engineers or those with heavy-processing hardware within a company. Peaxy frees those models from the rendering black hole and automates a data workflow that converts 3D models into a format Web browsers can handle. Geometry3D renders large-scale geometries into a data stream small enough to viewed over the Web by anyone.

Peaxy CADTiler – for Cesium

This tool converts data-heavy CAD files into “3D Tiles” that can be viewed in the Cesium format. This is useful for visualizing large-scale industrial installations on 3D terrain maps in any WebGL-enabled browser without having to install special plug-ins.

Peaxy ModelAR

Augmented reality (AR) rendering of industrial components or large-scale installations is no longer the stuff of science fiction. Using holographic lenses, Peaxy customers can invite entire groups of engineers or executives to view and “fly through” their most important installations. But to render these objects, which often contain millions of polygons at a time, and efficiently send that data over the Web, some type of “model decimation” must occur first. Peaxy makes this painless for customers through Peaxy ModelAR, an automated process to prepare data for AR viewing.
